Botcon 2008 Shattered Glass Optimus Prime sells for record $400+ USD

This is the highest I’ve seen this loose figure sell for.  The 2008 Shattered Glass set, which includes Optimus, can be had for approximately $750-$800.  Since the seller was in the UK, it was probably snapped up by a foreign buyer.  Something I’ve seen a lot of lately. eBayWave FTL -the unknown headmaster- (Shockwave)

Wow, I’ve had poor experiences with sellers before but this takes the proverbial cake. I’ve never had this toy but have always wanted to feel the mystique that is Shockwave. Found an auction that “appeared” to be a decent conditioned Shockwave. Boy was I wrong. Definitely more than meets the eye.
